Self-Discovery

Posted on September 20, 2015 at 3:50 PM Comments comments (0)

“Self-Discovery”

The greatest discovery is “Self-Discovery”. These past several months I’ve been discovering more and more about myself that has caused me to have a greater sense of self love and appreciation for all that God has placed within me. Until we’ve loosed ourselves from the shackles of what others think, incorrectly believe, etc., we will never fully discover or appreciate or operate at the magnitude of all God has loaded down inside of us. And we will never fully be who God designed us to be. Our FULL potential and ability will not be realized. The moment we free ourselves from the status quo thinking, we begin to hear God clearly. Otherwise, our hearing is blocked by incorrect ideologies and teachings, which ultimately hinders God from pouring Fresh Oil on us and all that pertains to us. After all, God can’t bless or impart to us beyond what we believe.

If you really want to experience the fullness of Self-Discovery, let God wash, clean and detox you mentally and spiritually of all the lies, incorrect teachings and belief systems you’ve been taught over the years, so that you can see Him and hear Him purely. Some people only see Him and hear Him through their denominational teachings, which sometimes is a blocker to what God is NOW saying and doing in this hour. Sup at the feet of God. Let Him reveal YOU and all that YOU are capable of doing to bring Glory to His Kingdom. Let Him transform you into the BEST YOU.

In Scripture, when David was offered Saul’s armor to fight Goliath, he refused it because he had already discovered his own God given abilities. Too many make the mistake to putting on the “armor” of others, when it’s not even working for them. When you’ve discovered who you really are, you’re not quick to go along with the status quo or with what’s politically correct, because you’ve learned to present every matter before God for His truth concerning it. When was the last time you discovered something about yourself?

Graduating to NOW Faith

Posted on August 3, 2015 at 6:30 PM Comments comments (0)

“Graduating to NOW Faith”

I’m noticing more and more long term Believers who are disappointed with the outcome of their faith confessions. They’ve expressed how they go to church week after week, but can’t seem to manifest what they’ve spoken in so-called faith. First off, going to church faithfully, week-after-week doesn’t mean anything, if you’re not being taught effective faith principles and applying them. Going to church faithfully may look good, but the results we produce in our lives is always the determining factor as to whether or not we’re getting something from the experience.

It’s interesting and disturbing to hear Believers speak a so-called faith confession that’s canceled out, all in the same breath. As Believers we must carefully choose and speak the words of our faith confessions. Otherwise, we’re just going through the motions, producing no results.

Here are a few things to remember about Faith….NOW Faith:

-Faith is NOW, not tomorrow. NOW Faith is always in the present tense, not future tense. So don’t say, “God is going to do it.” Instead say, “God has done it.”

-Secondly, NOW Faith is always first person. For example, “I am Blessed.” This makes it personal.

-Finally, NOW Faith always agrees with the Scripture. So despite how you feel and what you think, your words should always be that of what Scriptures has said.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1)

Cut The Strings!

Posted on May 30, 2015 at 1:15 AM Comments comments (0)

Cut The Strings!

As a child, I enjoyed reading books and watching movies about Pinnochio. However, as a Spirit led adult, I now see Prophetic implication of this story, as it relates to people in general today. You know the story. Pinnochio’s nose began to grow, as a result of his lying. But there’s another observation I’d like to share, as many individuals today are stuck in relationships, with “puppet masters” that’s taking away/limiting their personal freedoms and control of their life, as well as, stunting their growth, happiness, potential, income, etc.

According to Wikipedia, a puppet is an inanimate (lifeless, nonliving) object or cool figure animated or manipulated by a puppeteer (puppet master). A puppeteer (puppet master) is a person who manipulates an inanimate object, such as a puppet, in real time to create the illusion of life. The puppeteer may be visible to or hidden from the audience. A puppeteer can operate a puppet indirectly by the use of strings, rods, wires, electronics or directly by his or her own hands placed inside the puppet or holding it externally.

Wow! There’s so much revelation in these definitions. I’ll do my best to deal with the ones God’s given me to share. First off, if there’s a puppet “master,” then there must be a “slave.” The Puppet is the slave. God should be our puppet master. But in most cases, He’s not because we’ve made “others” the puppet master. Many people are so consumed with their earthly puppet masters, until they can’t hear God say, “Cut the strings!” An earthly puppet master will have you looking like this photo: A clown.

Puppets can’t choose their own wardrobe. Puppets can’t move on their own. Puppets can only speak the words the puppet master speaks for them. And finally, Puppets display fake smiles.

This takes me to my second observation: Being controlled by a puppet master turns an individual into a lifeless, nonliving, and boring human being. In fact, puppets spend most of his/her time/life doing what makes the puppet master gainful and happy.

And finally, my third observation is: Puppet masters are manipulators. However, it is important to note that puppet masters can only manipulate lifeless and nonliving type of individuals. Puppet masters are master manipulators at creating “illusions” of life. In other words, the puppet master works to make the puppet believe he/she is living an “alive” life as a puppet, but in actuality, the puppet’s “ thriving” life, that God truly ordained, exist only when the puppet in no longer string controlled by the puppet master.

In closing, too many Believers are secretly unhappy, due to their puppet master relationships. If you’re a puppet of an earthly puppet master, I challenge you to cut the strings! Until you’re able to cut the strings, you’re limiting yourself to a life experience that’s below God’s standard of living for your preordained life on earth.

Post High School Graduation Tips

Post High School Graduation Tips

As we enter graduation season, I can’t help from thinking back on how excited I was to graduate from high school. I was ready to conquer my future! I had big aspirations and dreams! I didn’t know exactly how I would achieve them in full detail, but I was eager to move in the direction I felt would lead me to them. This meant making decisions that I believed would enable me to achieve my aspirations and dreams. Since my high school graduation, years ago, I’ve made a lot of decisions. Some of those decisions were good and others could have been better, which is why I’m writing this blog. I wanted to share some post graduation advice with high school graduates, in hopes that this advice will give them something to consider, when making decisions today that will impact their future. Here are 7 of my post high school graduation tips:

#1 Don’t take out any student loans for college, if possible. Work part-time and then get on a payment plan to pay for college. Work full-time hours over your Summer break to save tuition money. Seek out and apply for scholarships. You can buy books written by students who paid for their college education with scholarships and had plenty of money left over to purchase condos and/or to start a business. Google it! I know it’s easy to get the student loan, but you’ll regret it later. FIND A WAY to NOT take out student loans. Besides, with the way the job market is right now, you don’t want to risk not being able to find a job after college graduation, but are still required to repay your student loan. You don’t need this type of stress in your life!

#2 Stay with your parents while attending college. Most parents will allow their children to live with them, while they’re in college, without charging them to live there, as long as they pull their weight around the house. Use this time, to save up at least $10,000-$15,000. This way, after you graduate college and move out on your own, you’ll have a strong savings account built. Don’t move out on your own, until you’ve save up the money to purchase your furnishing for your own apartment/home. This will prevent you from being tempted to open charge accounts to pay for these items.

#3 Don’t open any credit card accounts. Anybody who’s been to college knows that this is where credit card companies actively recruit for new, inexperienced credit card users. They make it super easy to get the credit card and they usually give cheap gifts for applying, in an attempt to make their offer a little more attractive. My advice is, DON’T DO IT! FIND A WAY TO PAY CASH! Otherwise, you risk damaging your credit, getting yourself in debt that’s difficult to get out of and not to mention the stress you’ll be having, all at a young age. In addition, many employers do credit checks prior to hiring employees. So if your credit is jacked up, you may not get the job.

#4 Go to college with the ultimate goal of working for yourself. Let’s face it. Most companies are not going to pay you what you need in order to have more money than expenses at the end of the month. Sometimes this happens no matter how hard you work or degrees you have. Most people go to college so they can go work for someone else. My advice is go to college so you can work for yourself. Remember, you’re the CEO of your life. Always think like a BOSS! This way you won’t be at the mercy of a company.

#5 Remember Your “Why”. College is filled with an array of temptations. Many of these temptations are to your detriment, if you yield to them. There will be invitations to wild parties, drugs, sexual escapades, to sell out on your upbringing, etc., but remember “why” you’re going to college. Hopefully it’s to get the knowledge you need to create a productive and prosperous life for yourself, your future family and your community. In other words, stay focused. Don’t be distracted by anything that’s attempting to prevent you from achieving your goals and your purpose.

#6 Keep Your College Experience Away From A Marriage Experience. If you’re in college, then you should be having a great college experience. If you’re married, you should be having a great marriage experience. Don’t make the mistake of trying to be a great college student, that’s experiencing the effects of a bad marriage. Right now, your focus should be “college.” So do college. When you get married, that’s the time to “do marriage.” College is a big responsibility by itself, so don‘t complicate the experience by trying to have a marriage relationship, while in college, with someone you’re not married to. Otherwise, you’ll be stressed to the max about a relationship you’re demanding a marital commitment from, while you’re there, as an unmarried student, in college. This doesn’t make sense. And you don’t have time for this drama!

#7 Listen To Your Heart, Not Your Flesh. When you’re getting ready to make any major decision, always listen to your heart and not your flesh. There are so many voices in the world and as a result, it’s sometimes hard to hear your “heart voice.” Your heart voice is your voice of wisdom and pure intentions. Your flesh voice, on the other hand, is the voice that’s usually based upon immature, impure motives or is based upon what feels good or looks good, as opposed to what actually IS good. In my younger years, I made a lot of decisions based off of what I thought others wanted me to do or said I should do, instead of listening to my own heart voice. Now, I’m not saying that their advice was all bad. It just wasn’t my own decision in many cases. The result of this behavior was that I struggled with having confidence with making my own decisions. It also resulted in me always being concerned with what others thought. But I’m past doing this now. Listening to your own heart is very important in making your own decisions, because sometimes people will project their fears or bad experiences toward you and then, if you’re not careful, you’ll end up making a decision based upon their fear or bad experience and end up somewhere in life you didn’t intend on being. So listen to your own heart! Your decision may not be popular, understood or liked, but at least it was YOUR decision.

Awaken The God Within You!

Posted on March 19, 2015 at 11:05 PM Comments comments (0)

Awaken The God Within You!

When my coaching clients hear me say, “Awaken The God Within You,” They’re like, “What do you mean?” And then I break it down to them. I normally will use this phrase when clients, friends, family, etc. share a problem or issue with me that’s frustrating them severely. It’s no secret that in this life, we will have problems and obstacles, but if we “Awaken The God Within Us,” direction, connections and answers will begin to gravitate to us. If you are a Believing, Faith Walking, Child of God, you already have the solutions and favor within you, with regard to whatever frustrations or concerns you’re currently dealing with. You just need to remember to allow it to radiate from you and into the atmosphere of your problem or frustration! The reason I believe so many Believers and people in general are frustrated is because they’re trying figure out solutions to their problems by using their own wisdom. As humans, we can see and think only so far. Therefore, we must draw from Another, Higher Source of Intellect and Power.

Whenever we don’t utilize something that was intended to be used, that thing will die out/die down. When this happens, it must be “Awakened.” Awaken means to: wake up, rouse, stir, initiate, etc. So when I use the phrase, “Awaken The God Within You,” I mean wake up, stir up, power up and initiate the Power of God that’s within you! As a Believer, you have a powerful arsenal within you that needs to be activated every day and especially during times of frustration, worry, stress, declinations, confusion, hopelessness, etc.!

WHATEVER you’re dealing with right now, to you I say, “Awaken The God Within You!” Awaken The God Who reverses decisions that are against you! Awaken The God Who releases favor! Awaken The God Who knows where to get money! Awaken The God Who knows how to set up Divine connections! Awaken The God Who will lower the price especially for you! Awaken The God Who will make your enemies a friend! Awaken The God Who is a Master Strategist! Awaken The God Who uses the foolish things to confound the wise! Awaken The God Who releases Peace in a pit! Awaken The God Who works out ALL THINGS for your GOOD! WAKE UP!...Awaken The God Within YOU!!!

The New Season Shift

Posted on February 23, 2015 at 10:25 PM Comments comments (0)

The New Season Shift

I’m amazed that it’s almost March! Before you know it, it will be Spring! It will be a New Season. I love when the seasons change, because it’s a reminder that in each New Season, there’s going to be a Shift in the Atmosphere. With each New Season, there’s a certain amount of expectation we have when that season arrives. Once Spring arrives, in its fullness, it will look like Winter never happened. The trees will look different, the daylight hours will change, flowers will be budding and blooming just as God designed. Everything that was lying dormant during the Winter, will begin to Awaken and Shift into position to bless and be blessed!

In our personal lives, we go through Shiftings and Awakenings. Why? Because our lives have a Divine Assignment and Purpose attached to it that must be Manifested in the Earth realm for the Glory of God and His Purposes! Just like the trees, the flowers and the grass in Spring time, we must get in alignment and agreement with the Shift of God concerning our Purpose. This is not a time to linger in a season God has moved on from, because it’s familiar or comfortable to us! Most people miss out on their Divine Seasons of Blessings, Harvest and Promotion, etc., because they’re stuck in a season God is no longer Present. In fact, many are stuck doing the right thing in the wrong season. And they don’t even realize it. If you desire to live an Abundant Life, like the Bible describes it, you must make the New Season Shift!

It was just recently that I realized the full magnitude of the shift I’d gone through. As I reflected over my jaw dropping Blessings, I realized that none of it would have happened, had I not yielded to the Shift God was leading me to make. I knew I had really shifted when I saw that very little about my life right now is the same. My associations and connections are different, my career is different, my appearance and dress are different, my accomplishments and giftings are different and my income/resources are different, my mindset and Faith are different. I don’t even go to the same places I used to go! Why? Because there’s not a need or Purpose in doing so. When you’ve shifted into a New Season, everything you need is in that New Season. You operate totally within that New Season! So my challenge to you is, wake up and shift into the New Season God has planned and prepared for your business, dreams, your family and your life! It’s a New Season! It’s a New Day! It’s a Season of “New" Everything!

Spending Time With Motivational People

Posted on February 2, 2015 at 11:00 PM Comments comments (0)

“Spending Time With Motivational People”

There’s nothing worse than being around people who are cynical and negative! Someone once said, “You are the average of the 5 people you hang with.” Think about that….if you’re hanging with a group of cynical, negative hopeless, people then, guess what? You have a good chance of becoming this way as well. I believe that this is partly why most parents don’t want their children hanging around kids they believe are not good for their children to be around. Scripture says, “Bad company corrupts good manners.” (1 Corinthians 15:33 ) Who we are around has either a negative or positive impact on us.

Who are you hanging around? I mean, are they helping to advance you, encouraging you, hold you accountable? Do they believe in you? Do you feel empowered when you’re around them? If the answer is no, then you’re probably hanging around the wrong people.

If we are going to achieve our purpose, dreams and destiny, we’ve got to surround ourselves with motivational people. Motivational people are people who speak life into us. They are people who encourage us, invest in us and build us up. Being with motivational people is empowering! In fact, when you’re with them, you will feel your spirit swelling up! Motivational people have a special energy about themselves that motivates us to act! These people are the fuel we need when our tanks are getting low on faith and hope.

What does “motivate/motivational” mean?

• inner or social stimulus for an action

• to provide with a motive or motives; incite; impel

• to give incentive to

Reasons To Be With Motivational People:

• Helps you to achieve personal goals

• Helps you to work better (efficiently)

• Higher performance

• Inspires you

• Helps you to be optimistic

• Helps with your self-development

• Helps you to think outside the box (ask hard questions/solve problems)

• You get the benefit of their perspective & experience

• Doors of opportunity can be opened for you

• You develop a champion and an ally (a strong champion of your positive attributes and an ally during any bumpy spots in your life)

• They will hold you accountable

• It expands your contacts & network

On a personal level, once I started hanging with motivational people, my life shift to a higher level. I use to be of the mindset that I should only spend time with the saved, sanctified and holy ghost filled folk, not realizing I was limiting my capacity for expansion. Once I decided to diversify my relationships, my destiny, streams of income, talents and abilities increased! For the first time in my life, I began to actually experience God’s realm of multiplication! I’m not bragging, I’m just telling it like it is. I’m so glad to be in the space I’m in right now! My sphere of influence today looks nothing like it did several years ago. Matter of fact, I don’t even look like the same person I did several years ago! That’s just how much of a life changing affect spending time with motivational people has had on my life. I advise you to do the same! You’ll be glad you did!

Making Unpopular Decisions

Posted on December 18, 2014 at 11:25 PM Comments comments (0)

“Making Unpopular Decisions”

Sometimes the hardest decisions we have to make are the ones that God wants us to make.

In life we are often confronted with decisions each day…what to wear to work, where to go for lunch, which political candidate to vote for, etc. Decisions about these are made fairly quickly and without hesitation or prayer. Decisions like these are easy to make because they’re not really impacting or harming others and they’re not breaking any rules or laws.

However, there are some decisions we will be confronted with making that will cause us to pray and hesitate making because they’re unpopular. An unpopular decision is a decision that will not be liked and is in disfavor with a particular person or group of persons. An unpopular decision will cause hurt feelings, break the status quo, secular and religious laws. Making an unpopular decision is rarely easy for the one making the decision, especially if they’re a person who needs the approval and acceptance of others. But in most cases, it has to be done in order to facilitate progress and change, in order to meet a need in the appointed future.

If we are going to be a people who achieve our dreams, goals and destiny, as directed by God, there will be a time when we will be required to make an unpopular decision, in order to fulfill our purpose. God won’t make the decision for us. He expects us to do it, in spite of the resentment, anger, abandonment and attacks of those who are not in favor of our unpopular decision. This takes courage, and we must stay focused on the greater benefit and/or opportunities that lie ahead. One thing I’ve learned is that, if you’re going to be led and directed by God in your life, there will be times when it will be necessary to make an unpopular decision in order to obey Him.

Mark 3 (The Message)

3 1-3 Then he went back in the meeting place where he found a man with a crippled hand. The Pharisees had their eyes on Jesus to see if he would heal him, hoping to catch him in a Sabbath infraction. He said to the man with the crippled hand, “Stand here where we can see you.”

4 Then he spoke to the people: “What kind of action suits the Sabbath best? Doing good or doing evil? Helping people or leaving them helpless?” No one said a word.

5-6 He looked them in the eye, one after another, angry now, furious at their hard-nosed religion. He said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” He held it out—it was as good as new! The Pharisees got out as fast as they could, sputtering about how they would join forces with Herod’s followers and ruin him.

In Mark 3, Jesus is our example of how to make unpopular decisions. He was on His life’s mission and that mission included making many unpopular decisions in order to fulfill His calling and please His Father. Most people struggle with doing this because they’re more concerned with pleasing “others”, instead of pleasing God. And as a result, they’re not fulfilling the mission God preordained for them.

In Mark 3, there are several takeaways for us to extract, remember and/or use, when we’re confronted with making an unpopular decision.

Here are the cons of making an unpopular decision:

• When An Unpopular Decision is Made, It May Seem Like The Timing Is Wrong

• You May Look Like A Fool/Crazy

• The Decision Will Be Public

• You Will Be On The “Hot Seat”

• The Unpopular Decision Will Be Against Everyone’s Beliefs & The “Established Rules”

• You Will Not Have Support

• Some Will Try To Intimate You

• You May Be Afraid

• You Will Feel Alone

• Some Relationships Will Be Destroyed

• You Will Feel Misunderstood

• You Will Experience Aggression

Here are the pros of making an unpopular decision:

• You Will Please God

• You Will Fulfill Your Calling, Dreams & Goals

• You Will Break Free From The Control Of The Status Quo & The Grip Of Those Who Police It

• Your Impact Will Expand Beyond Your Current Sphere Of Influence

• New Relationships & Territories Will Be Formed

• You Will Advance Forward, While Your Critics Remain Stuck In the Same Place

• God Will Protect & Publicly Vindicate You

Too many people are stuck in neutral, because they won’t make an unpopular decision. They’re praying to God for help, but God can’t help them until they first make their unpopular decision He’s instructed them to make. If we’re going obey the leading of God and manifest the life He’s ordained for us, we can’t be bound or be held hostage to the status quo, opinions and approval of those who are in disfavor of our decision. When Jesus was confronted with the pressure that comes with making an unpopular decision, He chose to obey God. And as a result, His ministry was effective, fruitful and power packed!

Here are other examples of unpopular decisions that had major impacts in the U.S.:

• Over the opposition of his “Team of Rivals” cabinet, Lincoln published the Emancipation Proclamation, promising freedom to 4 million slaves in the Confederacy, and giving the Union armies a moral cause to fight for.

• A century after the Civil War ended, LBJ pushed the Civil Rights Act through Congress, which compelled state and local governments to recognize the rights, particularly the voting rights, of African Americans and other minorities.

• Dwight D. Eisenhower Creates the Interstate Highway System connecting the country and has provided Americans with a level of freedom and rapidity of movement they could never have imagined during the days when most roads were just two ruts across the prairie.

• Women’s suffrage

• Declaration of Independence 1776

• Barack Obama elected president

Being In The Right Place, At The Right Time

Posted on November 9, 2014 at 9:05 PM Comments comments (0)

“Being In The Right Place, At The Right Time”

Ruth 2:1-20

Sometimes we can be experiencing so much turmoil in our life, until we start to believe nothing will ever go right for us ever again.  Ruth & Naomi had gone thru tremendous loss, pain and suffering.  They had a lot of problems…the death of their husbands, little to no money and no covering, which was necessary for women in those days. Where they were was filled with loss, pain and frustration.

As with most, who are in situations like this, it’s common to feel the need to move away…better yet, RUN! away from the city/place of our troubles.  We believe that if we can just get away to a new place, things will get better.  Scripture says Naomi and Ruth went back to Bethlehem, at the beginning of barley harvest.  Bethlehem was the “right place”.  Barley harvest was the “right time.”

It’s important to realize that just because we’re in the right place at the right time, it won’t be easy, as we will still be required to do what we can to better our situation.  A lot of people think that just because they’re in the right place at the right time, that they don’t have to do anything, except show up there.  This is far from the truth!  We must make an effort to do all we can to assist in our own deliverance.  Our effort and hard work, in spite of our pain, is what’s going to gain us some special attention and favor.

Ruth decided to go to the field to glean (work) grain and gain favor.  She was a woman with a plan and on a mission.  After working in the field, Ruth just so happen to come to the part of the field that belonged to Boaz, who was a wealthy man.  While Ruth was working, Boaz noticed her and asked the reapers who was she.  This is a hint to us that, if we work hard, someone with wealth, authority and influence is going to notice us (help, protect & give to us) even though we’re a foreigner (stranger, feel we don’t belong & feel unworthy).

What’s noteworthy about this passage of Scripture is, just when we think we’re not worthy, the most unlikely to succeed or the most unlikely to be noticed, God will allow others to see our worth, have compassion, respect and favor towards us.  Not only that, they will speak a Word from God into our lives.  Because Ruth was in the right place at the right time, that one encounter caused her to enter into her blessed, wealthy place.

Here are the blessings/benefits of being in the right place at the right time:

  • We gain the attention of those with influence and authority

  • We obtain favor

  • We receive protection from harm

  • We receive provision/assistance from others

  • We realize our self worth

  • We receive a promise from God

  • We are comforted

  • We are repaid & fully rewarded

  • We experience a new beginning (fresh start, wealthy husband/place, brought out of our slavery, fruitfulness/child, rights & ownership, in the bloodline of Jesus)

Although Naomi and Ruth had gone through tremendous pain and turmoil, they did not allow it to permanently paralyze them to the wrong place.  In fact, their pain is what prompted them to move elsewhere.  Many times our painful circumstances manifest to move us toward the next phase of our lives and ultimately our wealthy place.  I challenge you to not be held hostage to the wrong place.  No matter how bad your current situation is, keep going.  Keep trying.  Keep believing.  Keep working.  Besides, the only way to get to the right place at the right time, is to keep moving forward.

Get Up & Make A Move

Posted on October 7, 2014 at 8:15 PM Comments comments (0)

“Get Up & Make A Move!”

Are you experiencing “being down” right now? Have you been dealing with a particular issue or problem for days, months or years? Does it seem like everyone else is getting ahead of you? Does it seem like you’re being left behind or overlooked? Do you feel paralyzed in your current situation? Are you waiting for things to start moving for you? If you answered yes to any of these questions, my advice to you is, “Get Up & Make A Move!”

John 5 King James Version (KJV)

5 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?

13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
